The 2026 Women’s Pennant Finals were held at Rosebud on Thursday, April 9, with Division 1 and Division 2 teams competing under sunny yet challenging windy conditions.

In Division 2, Portsea took on Sorrento Golf Club in a tightly contested clash. Spectators were treated to some thrilling golf, with two matches extending to the 19th hole and another decided on the 17th. Sorrento proved too strong, emerging victorious to be crowned the 2026 Division 2 Women’s Champions.

Division 1 featured an exciting showdown between Sorrento Golf Club and Flinders Golf Club. Flinders entered the final as the top team after the home-and-away season, while Sorrento were aiming for a third consecutive title. The matches were fiercely fought, including one going down to the 18th hole, but Sorrento lifted when it mattered most, securing a convincing 5.5 to 1.5 win.

With victories in both divisions, Sorrento Golf Club capped off a remarkable day, claiming the Division 2 title and completing a Division 1 three-peat to further cement their recent dominance in women’s pennant competition.
