The purposes for which GPV was established are:
(a) to administer and promote the game of golf within the District;
(b) to represent golf clubs in the District;
(c) to select representative teams to represent the District in tournaments or competitions;
(d) to manage competitions and events for the members of its member Clubs, including District Championships and Pennant;
(e) to promote golf as a sport of choice for adults and juniors and to apply the funds of the District in the best interests of golf in the District
(f) to adopt and implement relevant policies of Golf Australia and Golf Victoria.
