2026 Sorrento Plate

One hundred women representing clubs from all over Melbourne and the Peninsula braved the icy conditions to compete in the 2026 Sorrento Plate today at Sorrento Golf Club.
The winning pair of Georgina Featherby and Carolyn Ive recorded a fantastic 47 points to beat another Mornington pair – Lea Stass and Heather Mushet by 4 points.
Georgina and Carolyn combined well sharing the load almost evenly but a birdie for four points on the 19th was a defining moment. The tee shot on this tricky par 3 also saw Carolyn win the nearest the pin. The other nearest the pin on 15th was won by yet another Mornington player, Ange Stephens.
