The annual Eric Lucas junior event, inaugurated and hosted by Flinders Golf Club, was keenly contested by a large field of boys and girls on 16 April.

In an extremely tight finish, the Eric Lucas shield (open to players who are members of Golf Peninsula Vic clubs) was won by Fuyu Yang of The National Golf Club, on a countback from Jude Farrelly of Rosebud Country Club, both scoring 68.  Fuyu also won the girls’ gross event.

The boys’ gross event was won by Lan Vu, of Royal Melbourne, with an excellent score of 67.

The stableford event for girls and boys was won by Lucas Chen of Spring Valley, with 36 points.
